EssEnnTials Social Lab, is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering marginalized and underserved communities through skill development and livelihood programs, operating on modern, agile social enterprise models rather than traditional charity models.
Based on EssEnnTials’ core vision of transforming “Potential to Prosperity” through targeted skill development, inclusive access, and sustainable livelihoods, to begin with it, we have chosen following, high-impact project ideas designed for the Indian context:
Project Shankha (The Clarion Call)
Focus:
Rural Youth & Digital Livelihoods
Concept:
A mobile digital-skilling lab housed in a customized van that travels to remote villages. It acts as a literal and metaphorical “call to awakening” for rural youth.
Execution:
Deliver intensive 6-week modules on practical digital skills (e.g., event management assistants, e-commerce onboarding, basic data entry, digital financial literacy, and online customer support).
Partner with local businesses and logistics hubs to offer immediate, decentralized gig-work or employment upon completion.
Why it fits:
It embodies the conch shell symbolism of starting a new endeavor and breaking regional barriers.
Project Samarth (Capable & Inclusive)
Focus:
People with Disabilities (PwDs)
Concept:
Creating accessible, specialized training sub-hubs focused on mainstream corporate tech and hospitality workflows.
Execution:
Develop training modules specifically tailored for individuals with speech, hearing, or orthopaedic impairments.
Focus on high-demand, remote-friendly skills like software testing, AI data annotation, and digital content moderation.
Collaborate with corporate CSR partners to design “accessible infrastructure guidelines” for hiring companies.
Why it fits:
Directly maps to the objective of building accessible infrastructure and integrating PwDs into the mainstream workforce.
Project Pragati Micro-Ventures
Focus:
Women & Girl Child Economic Empowerment
Concept:
A micro-entrepreneurship incubator tailored for rural and semi-urban women, moving them from daily-wage labor to business owners.
Execution:
Form self-help enterprise circles trained in sustainable regional trades (e.g., eco-friendly packaging, food processing, or textile upcycling).
Provide essential business training: bookkeeping, digital payments, and local marketplace sourcing.
Set up a “Seed-to-Market” pathway where EssEnnTials matches them with initial micro-grants and local retail networks.
Why it fits: Drives long-term, self-reliant financial stability and uplifts families, mirroring the “growth from within” philosophy.
EssEnnTials Skill-Bridge
Focus:
Urban Poor & Green-Collar Jobs
Concept:
An agile training program designed to bridge the gap between unorganized urban labor and the growing green economy.
Execution:
Train urban underserved youth in technical, eco-friendly trades such as solar panel installation, EV servicing, and smart-city waste management logistics.
Incorporate mandatory “life-skills” modules (communication, professional ethics, and financial planning) to ensure corporate readiness.
Why it fits:
Bridges the gap between raw potential and industry demand, perfectly reflecting the gradient transition from foundational support to thriving prosperity.
This organisation renamed to its current form to reflect the changed business scope, existed earlier as Yensures Consulting, a proprietary firm and has been operational since October 2012.
